Workers in New Brunswick who meet the requirements and want to live here permanently can now submit a provincial nomination application.
Holders of Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWPs) with NOC skill level D occupations are now eligible for the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream. Fruit pickers, cleaning personnel, and oilfield workers are a few of the vocations that typically require on-the-job training.
As per a news release, temporary employees in these professions will be eligible to utilize to the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program through April 30, 2021.
Temporary residents who satisfy the minimum requirements may apply to the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP):
- You satisfy all requirements to be eligible for the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream;
- You hold a PGWP that was awarded following your graduation from a post-secondary institution in New Brunswick that has been given special designation (DLI);
Qualifications for the NB Skilled Worker Stream:
- This New Brunswick PNP stream is for skilled immigrants who have received a job offer from a province-eligible company. You must intend to live in New Brunswick, which is one of the key prerequisites. Additionally, you need to have been offered a year-round, full-time position with a qualified professional.
- You must prove that you are competent for the job and that you are being paid a fair wage. Additionally, the request must have the support of your employer.
- You need a certification or license from the regulatory authority if you work in a regulated profession. More data on professional groups can be found on the website of the New Brunswick government, along with instructions on how to get certified or licensed in the territory.
- Depending on your age, language proficiency, school level, prior job experience, and other considerations, you will be given a score to determine if you are eligible for the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream. To qualify, you must receive at least 60 out of a possible 100 points.
- You should be between the ages of 19 and 55. You must have language proficiency in either English or French that is at least on par with the Canadian Language Proficiency Level (CLB) of 4. Since New Brunswick is a bilingual province, candidates who can show a CLB 4 in both languages receive bonus points.
- A credential assessment that is no older than five years must be submitted with your study abroad application, and you must have at least a high school diploma.
- Unless you have completed at least one degree, diploma, or certificate program at DLI New Brunswick, you must have at least a year of work experience. Work experience performed overseas contributes to your points.
Additionally, New Brunswick gives points to candidates who work in high-priority industries like manufacturing, transportation, education, and health care. If you have ties to the province through employment, education, language proficiency, or other means, your profile will receive bonus points.
