In the first Express Entry draw of 2024, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 1,510 candidates to apply on January 10th, with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 546. This general draw included candidates from various programs, such as the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Canadian Experience Class.

The December 18 all-program draw invited 1,325 candidates with a minimum CRS of 524, marking one of the four draws in the month. The Immigration Levels Plan for 2024-2026 indicates a target of 110,000 new permanent residents through Express Entry in 2024, reflecting a significant increase from the 82,880 targeted in 2023.
Throughout 2023, IRCC conducted seven Express Entry draws in December, the highest monthly total for the year, following a six-week pause from October 26. In total, more than 100,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to Express Entry candidates in 2023.
