On July 5th, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a second round of Express Entry invitations. This time, the invitations were extended to candidates eligible for category-based selection in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) occupations. A total of 500 candidates received invitations, and the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required was 486.
This draw was anticipated following IRCC’s previous announcement that the first-ever category-based selection Express Entry draw for STEM professionals would occur this week. It highlights IRCC’s commitment to attracting skilled individuals in high-demand fields.
In addition, IRCC has confirmed another round of invitations for this week. This time, 1,500 healthcare workers will be invited to apply for permanent residence, addressing the critical need for healthcare professionals in Canada.
These ongoing Express Entry draws demonstrate IRCC’s dedication to meeting Canada’s economic priorities, attracting talented individuals, and supporting the healthcare sector’s growth. Qualified candidates in STEM occupations and healthcare can seize this opportunity to pursue their Canadian permanent residence dreams.
