IRCC’s Focus on CEC Candidates

The CEC program continues to be a major part of Canada’s Express Entry strategy in 2025.
This month alone, IRCC has conducted two draws for CEC applicants, both inviting 1,000 candidates with nearly identical CRS thresholds around 533–534.

IRCC’s approach reflects its ongoing focus on candidates with prior Canadian work experience, supporting faster integration into the country’s labor market.

Express Entry Trends – 2025

As of now, 75,485 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) have been issued across all Express Entry categories.
IRCC’s selection has largely prioritized PNP nominees, French-speaking candidates, and those in targeted occupation categories such as healthcare, education, and trades.
