On June 28th, the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued invitations to 500 healthcare workers through the recently introduced Express Entry category-based selection draws. To qualify, applicants needed to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 476.

This draw marks the inaugural category-based selection event since the announcement of the six new categories on May 31. A subsequent round of invitations, inviting 1,500 workers to apply, is scheduled for July 5.
Also, there are expectations of another draw within the same week that will invite eligible candidates from science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions.
