In a bid to attract skilled immigrants and bolster its workforce, the province of Alberta has conducted several draws through its Express Entry-aligned immigration stream, resulting in a substantial number of candidates receiving Notification of Interest (NOI) letters. The draws, which took place throughout the month of August, targeted individuals with specific skills and job offers in priority sectors, as well as those with family connections and primary occupations in demand.
The draws were held on August 22, 16, 15, 3, and 1, with varying criteria for eligibility. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores of the lowest-ranked candidates who received NOI letters differed across the draws, reflecting the province’s desire to accommodate a range of skill levels and occupations.
