New BC PNP Draw Invites 195 Candidates for PR

In its continued efforts to welcome skilled individuals and address labor market needs, British Columbia (BC) conducted its latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on August 9th. The draw resulted in 195 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) being issued to eligible candidates.

Of the 195 ITAs, 139 invitations were extended to candidates falling within the General Category. These candidates were selected from the Skilled Worker – Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option and Skilled Worker streams, with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff of 117 for both pathways. Similarly, candidates under the International Graduate – EEBC option and International Graduate streams were invited, with a CRS cutoff of 110. For candidates applying under the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled stream, the CRS cutoff stood at 88 points.

The draw also featured a targeted approach to address specific labor market demands. Within this context, 34 ITAs were issued under the Targeted draw for individuals in the childcare sector, specifically Early Childhood Educators and Assistants (NOC 42202). These invitations were allocated to candidates applying under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams, including those with the EEBC option. The CRS cutoff for this targeted draw was set at 60 points.

Furthermore, an additional 22 ITAs were issued under the Targeted draw for the healthcare sector. These invitations were reserved for candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams, including those eligible for the EEBC option. Again, the CRS cutoff for this specialized draw was 60 points.

  • CRS cutoff score: varied for different streams.

Category 2: Targeted Draw (Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202))

  • Total ITAs issued: 34
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers, International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • CRS cutoff score: 60

Category 3: Targeted Draw (Healthcare)

  • Total ITAs issued: 22
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • CRS cutoff score: 60
