
On October 7, 2024, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 1,613 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in an Express Entry draw targeting candidates with a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nomination. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required was 743.

This is the first Express Entry draw of October 2024, and it follows a series of targeted draws aimed at addressing Canada’s labor market needs.
Recent Express Entry Trends
The most recent draw before this occurred on September 19, 2024, inviting 4,000 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates with a minimum CRS score of 509. Since July, IRCC has focused heavily on CEC candidates, issuing 21,800 ITAs to help transition temporary residents to permanent status.
