On May 30, 2023, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held the last Skills Immigration draw of the month. 196 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were distributed to candidates who were in the pool for this most recent BC PNP draw. This was British Columbia’s fifth Skills Immigration draw for May and the last too. British Columbia rolls out weekly draws mostly.
Who received the ITAs?
The following factors may be used to target invitations to apply to the Skills Immigration streams:
- Education: level, subject area, and location of completion.
- Eligible occupational designations in B.C.
- language proficiency.
- Occupation.
- length and degree of work experience.
- the job’s salary and/or level of expertise.
- want to establish down in a certain area and live there.
- Strategic priorities are elements that support government pilot programs and initiatives or address particular labor market needs in British Columbia.
Category 1: General Draw
- Total ITAs issued: 151
- Streams invited in the draw: Skilled Workers & International Graduates (including EEBC option) and Entry-Level & Semi-Skilled
- Minimum CRS points: 85-107
Category 2: Targeted Draw (Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202))
- Total ITAs issued: 26
- Streams invited in the draw: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
- Minimum CRS points: 60
Category 3: Targeted Draw (Healthcare)
- Total ITAs issued: 14
- Streams invited in the draw: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
- Minimum CRS points: 60
Category 4: Targeted Draw (Other Priority Occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104))
- Total ITAs issued: 5.
