In its latest immigration round conducted on July 2, 2026, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited 77 eligible candidates to move forward with their provincial nomination applications. The selection was not based on a general Expression of Interest draw but instead focused on individuals who had already established connections with Manitoba through targeted recruitment initiatives.

The latest draw marks another step in Manitoba’s ongoing effort to connect employers with international professionals while supporting economic growth across the province.

The province also reminded prospective immigrants that meeting the basic eligibility requirements alone does not guarantee an invitation.

According to Manitoba, several administrative issues prevented some otherwise eligible candidates from being selected.

  • Invalid or missing language test reference numbers.
  • Missing invitation numbers connected to strategic recruitment initiatives.
  • Incomplete information submitted through the Expression of Interest profile.

Special Processing Continues for TPP Candidates

One notable feature of Manitoba’s 2026 immigration strategy has been the continued processing of applicants who previously received Support Letters under the Temporary Public Policy (TPP).

Earlier this year, the province announced that these candidates would receive dedicated invitation rounds, beginning with individuals whose support letters had been approved between April and June 2025.

Since introducing this targeted approach, Manitoba has already invited 579 TPP candidates, with the majority receiving invitations during the first dedicated draw.

Provincial Immigration Activity Remains Strong Throughout 2026

The latest draw brings Manitoba’s total number of Letters of Advice to Apply issued this year to 1,910.

Meanwhile, the federal government allocated 6,239 provincial nominations to Manitoba for 2026, giving the province considerable capacity to continue selecting skilled workers over the coming months.

Provincial statistics also show that by the end of May, 2,165 individuals had already received provincial nominations, illustrating that Manitoba continues to process applications steadily throughout the year.
