Why Canada Favors French-Speaking Candidates
Canada’s immigration policy maintains a strong focus on attracting French-speaking individuals. This initiative aims to bolster minority Francophone populations throughout the provinces while simultaneously addressing labor deficiencies in areas where bilingual capabilities provide a competitive edge, including healthcare, public administration, and education.
Forecasts for the Remainder of 2025
With more than 62,000 invitations already sent this year, IRCC is on track for another record-breaking year of immigration through Express Entry. Candidates and other stakeholders expect more category-based draws, especially for healthcare workers and French speakers, as Canada matches immigration with its economic and regional needs.
