Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently conducted its first Express Entry draw in over a month, extending invitations to a total of 3,200 candidates through an all-program draw on 19th September, 2023.
To secure an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in this draw, candidates needed to obtain a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 531. This score serves as a pivotal factor in the selection process.
During the summer, there was a notable increase in the frequency of Express Entry draws compared to previous years. This rise in draws was attributed to the introduction of category-based selection rounds of invitations. However, until this recent draw, no further draws had occurred following the last all-program draw on August 15, which saw 4,300 candidates receiving ITAs.
IRCC has not offered any specific reasons for the temporary pause in draws. As of September 18, they confirmed their intention to resume Express Entry draws this week, providing aspiring candidates with renewed hope for their immigration prospects.
