Canada has resumed healthcare-specific Express Entry draws, the first of its kind since July, signaling the country’s ongoing effort to address workforce shortages in the sector. On November 20, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,000 candidates under this targeted category. The draw required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 463.

This draw is part of a busy week for Express Entry, with two additional draws held for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates on November 19 and 18, respectively.

Rising Immigration Targets
Canada’s updated Immigration Levels Plan aims to admit 124,680 Express Entry candidates next year. Over 82,000 of these will belong to the newly created In-Canada Focus category, prioritizing candidates already in Canada through programs like the CEC, while 41,700 spots will focus on key economic priorities in high-demand fields.
