Ontario has restarted provincial nomination activity under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), issuing 2,049 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) over two consecutive days on December 10 and December 11. This marked the province’s first major draw activity in more than two months.

The invitations were issued through multiple draws under Ontario’s Employer Job Offer streams, targeting candidates already residing in Canada and working in priority occupations across healthcare, education, skilled trades, and regional labour markets.

December 10: OINP Conducts Five Occupation-Based Draws

On December 10, Ontario issued 1,133 ITAs across five targeted draws under the following streams:

Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream
Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream

The draws focused on healthcare professionals, early childhood educators, and candidates eligible under the Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) pilot. All invited candidates were required to have an active Expression of Interest (EOI) profile and be residing in Canada.

The REDI pilot aims to support economic growth in smaller Ontario communities. For this round, targeted Census Divisions included Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville.

The Foreign Worker Stream is designed for skilled workers, including eligible physicians, who hold job offers in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupations and intend to settle permanently in Ontario.
